Iriomote National Park (Okinawa)

Iriomote National Park, Japanfs west-southern most park, consists of several islands and a beautiful coral lagoon stretching 20km between Iriomote Island and Ishigaki Island.
The main part of the park, Iriomote Island, is densely covered with old growth forests of subtropical trees such as mangroves and oak. It is also known as the habitat of the Iriomote wild cat, an endemic species of the Iriomote Island that is on the verge of extinction.
