PC and Internet
Personal computers
Both Japanese (e.g., SONY, NEC, FUJITSU, TOSHIBA and HITACHI) and American (e.g., Dell, HP, Gateway, IBM and Apple) manufactured computers are available in Japan. Discount stores in Akihabara, a district in Tokyo famous for its hundreds of electronic shops, are also located in each city or town. You may even find wholesalers in smaller cities that provide an even cheaper alternative to Akihabara. You can also buy PC's through the manufacturer's website or at www.amazon.co.jp. In case of malfunction all stores and manufacturers offer a warranty which includes technical support and repair services.
