Nikko National Park (Fukushima, Tochigi, Gunma, Niigata)

Nikko National Park, one of the most famous and beautiful national parks in Japan, is rich in both nature and historial heritages. This park is a world-famous tourist attraction. It offers scenic views of plateaus, rivers, falls, lakes and the Nikko mountains which include Mt. Okushirane, Mt. Nantai, Mt. Nasu, and Mt. Hiuchi. The Oze area is the most beautiful feature of the park. Recommended seasons to visit are Summer and Fall because of the vast range of alpine plants and red coloring of the leaves.

Shinto shrine and Buddhist temples are also popular attractions at this park. The park is most famous for the Toshogu, Japan’s most lavishly decorated shirine.
