Yoshino-Kumano National Park (Mie, Nara, Wakayama)

The Yoshino-Kumano National Park covers a wide area including the Omine mountain range (Yoshino area), scenic rivers and coastal regions (Kumano area).
Mt. Yoshino, of the Omine mountain range, is covered by about 30,000 cherry trees and is famous for its picturesque cherry blossoms in the spring. Deep v-shaped valleys, formed by currents from the Kumano river, make a spectacular view.
There are over 48 water falls in Mt. Nachi, located 6.2 miles/10km inland from the Sea of Kumano. The biggest one is Nachi Fall which is considered to be one of the most beautiful falls in Japan.
